Short film: the principle of the Diversity

This short film considers where in the natural world we see the principle of Diversity at work and how we can learn from it.

The diversity of the natural world ensures that Nature’s systems are resilient. This short film introduces the principle of Diversity, exploring how it can inspire us to make more sustainable choices in our lives. It is part of a series of short films, each of which focusses on a different principle of Harmony in Nature and has been developed for use as a lesson starter, an introduction to an assembly or to present elements of the Harmony approach to education to staff, parents and other members of the school community.

“Nature teems with diversity. If we stop to observe a meadow, we see that it can sustain an incredible range of species. It is this diversity that gives strength and resilience to natural systems. If we want to live sustainably, we need to preserve and promote diversity in all we do.”

Other films in this series focus on the principles of Adaptation, the Cycle and Interdependence.
